Must-See Attractions
Palma Cathedral (La Seu)
One of the most impressive Gothic cathedrals in the world, built directly over the sea. The interior was partly redesigned by Antoni Gaudí — the hanging canopy over the altar is extraordinary. Allow 1–2 hours and arrive early to beat queues.
Serra de Tramuntana
Majorca's UNESCO-listed mountain range running along the northwest coast. Dramatic scenery, ancient olive groves and clifftop villages like Deià, Valldemossa and Sóller. The drive along the MA-10 coastal road is one of the best in Europe. A car is essential.
The Sóller Train & Tram
Take the historic wooden train from Palma through the Tramuntana mountains to the beautiful town of Sóller, then hop on the vintage tram down to Port de Sóller and its bay. One of Majorca's most popular and memorable experiences.
Boat Trips to Hidden Coves
Many of Majorca's most beautiful beaches are only accessible by boat. Day trips depart from Alcudia, Port de Sóller and Port d'Andratx to sea caves, snorkelling spots and secluded coves that can't be reached by road.
Wine Tasting in Binissalem
Majorca has its own wine region in the central plains around Binissalem. The local Manto Negro grape produces distinctive reds that you won't find elsewhere. Several wineries offer tours and tastings — a wonderful half-day excursion from Palma or the north.
